For your immediate use: 14th November 2011 Leading community arts organisation Art in the Park is launching a new group for older adults interested in creative writing in the Crookes area. The sessions will involve writing about your experiences with help from a professional writer, sharing experiences with young writers and will culminate in the creation of a booklet of writing. Starting Thursday November 24th, 6.30-8.30pm, the sessions run for 10 weeks at Wesley Hall, Crookes and are completely free. The project has been made possible through funding from the South West Community Assembly and the hope is that the group will continue to run beyond the end of the organised sessions. As well as being an opportunity for you to explore creative writing the project will also be intergenerational with some sessions including young people from Sheffield Young Writers and a Sheffield Futures group.
