Meet weekly, Thursdays at 9.50 for 10.00am start booted up and ready to go.

In the unusual event of inclement weather please ring to check if the walk is cancelled.
In the event of a change of meeting place all members will be informed.

28th April. (4.5m). Meet at Bolsterstone Church SK271968. Walk More Hall and Ewden village. Stella to lead.

5th May. (5 miles) Meet at the Linacre Reservoir car park off the Water Authority road B6050       GR338726. Walk the North side of the reservoir returning via Old Brampton.
Barbara to lead.

12th May (5 miles) Meet at the Barrel Inn at Bretton  GR779201 – limited parking on the road – Walk Bretton Clough and Abney Clough. John to lead.

19th May. (5 miles) THIS IS THE WALK SHEFFIELD WALK FOR ALL COMERS.
Meet at Longshaw National Trust car park just near to Fox House. Walk Longshaw, Toads Mouth, Winyard's Nick, Over Owler Torr, Mother Cap and back to Longshaw. (OS map 110).   Barbara to lead.

26th May (4 miles) . Meet at the car park on Limb lane. Walk Ecclesall Woods. Paddy to lead.
Members to bring a plate of food to share and a MINIMUM DONATION of £3.00 to the Edale Mountain Rescue Team . A QUILT EXHIBITION will be included.

2nd June. (5 miles). Meet at Calton Lees car park in Chatsworth Park. Walk to the Hunting tower and Chatsworth house. Ann to lead.

9th June. (4.5 miles) Meet at Grindleford Station. A MAYFLY WALK along the riverside to Hathersage and back. Niel to lead.

16th June. (5 miles) meet at Ashford in the water car park. GR195697. Walk Ashford, Chuchdale Hall, Great Longstone, Little Longstone and Monsall.  John to lead.

 

23rd June. (5 miles). Meet at Langsett Barn car park off the A616, GR212005. Walk Lansett and Upper Midhope . Jane and Jan to lead.

30th June. SHEFFIELD U3A 25th ANNIVERSARY FESTIVAL DAY AT WORTLEY HALL.
There will be 5 different walks to choose from on the day and details of these will be given in the JUNE edition of LINKS.

Early in July Pauline and Dan hold their garden day to raise funds for the Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice. Watch out for further information.

7th July (4.5 miles). Meet at Monyash car park next to the village green. GR150665. Walk to one Ash Farm and Lathkildale.  Stella to lead.

14th July.  (5 miles) Meet at Forge Dam cafe on the River Porter GR849302. Park on Whiteley Lane and walk across the park South then to the dam East to the cafe. Walk Limb Valley , Ringinglow, Houndkirk, Lady canning Plantation and Porter Clough. …...............................

21st July.   THE ROACHES. FOR THIS WALK WE WILL DRIVE INTO STAFFORDSHIRE.
(5 miles). Meet at 10.30 for coffee before the walk at 11am.Bring a packed lunch.
Meet at the Roaches Tea Rooms, Paddock Farm, Upper Hulme; GR006613.
Go West / slightly South West from Longnor till you join the main A53 Leek road. Go South
for about 2 miles, to a small road on the right to Upper Hulme. Heading North West you
soon come to the tea rooms.
From there it is a short drive to the Roaches car park GR004622. Anne Bryant to lead.

28th July. (5 miles) Meet at Low Bradfield car park. Walk around the Bradfield Dam.................
