Pressures and stresses of modern day living can cause lasting damage to our health. As a means of coping with
this we are a group of people who come together to spend 20 minutes in shared silence. We are welcomed with
a hot/cold drink and there is an opportunity afterwards to talk and discuss anything of relevant interest

The objectives of the group were established at the inaugural meeting-“to look at the socio/economic and cultural aspects of today’s world, with a healthy exchange of information and debate that is non political and non polemic”. This wide remit offers the opportunity for a flexible approach whilst holding loosely to a seminar style format. Meeting is formally chaired, with a volunteer (member) speaker on an agreed subject followed by debate and discussion. Recent examples of subjects are; Age Matters, Are Our Freedoms in Danger, and After the Budget. |
