We meet fortnightly for very professional and much enjoyed tutoring and discussion on a theme or series agreed the previous year which continues throughout the year. Our tutors use slides, Power Point and overhead projections as appropriate. Sometimes we have outside speakers from Charities, Voluntary Sector organisations, Local Authority etc as relevant. About four times a year we have discussion sessions with no introductory talk for member's contributions, topical issues of concern etc. In Summer we usually have an outing to a place or event connected to our main theme of the year.

We are a Group interested in all aspects of living sustainably. We cover organic gardening and land use, energy conservation and global issues. The natural resources on which we all depend are running out. We, in this Group, are determined not to just bury our heads in the sand but to learn how best to adapt and change. This learning we would also like to share with the wider SU3A membership. Current interests within the Group include food growing (home, allotments, community growing) renewable energy, particularly locally sourced, and applied, climate change and networking with other relevant Sheffield Groups to learn from their experience.
